I Texturized my 4 C Natural Hair
About this Video:
The video above includes before and after photos and video of my hair, application of Aphogee two-step protein treatment, current products and tools, demo of my clip in installation for my birthday, and a talk through of my texturizer application process.
I used the Just for Me texture softer and my hair turned out a lot straighter than I anticipated. It’s important to note that I did NOT comb or smooth my hair when the texturizer was applied, but I did apply on blowdried hair. I simply used the gloves, the spatula the box provided, the oil, and vaseline to base my scalp . I applied it to previously blowdried hair (a week before) and left it on for 7 min after applying for 4 min.
The Aphogee brought back a lot of texture and I plan on using it once a month or as needed, along with regular nightly moisturizing. I’m still deciding if I will continue to texturize my hair, but I’m enjoying faster styling sessions for the time being. For now, I am limiting heat and keeping it twisted up for workouts.
