Villains and Statement Blazers
You can never go wrong with a blazer. I typically wear a lot of blazers in Spring and Fall because they substitute really well for a jacket in warmer weather and always make an outfit look pulled together. For Fall, I typically like blazers in deeper colors, like burgundy, brown, and burnt orange, but when I saw this one, I couldn’t resist buying it. I prefer purchasing blazers that don’t wrinkle easily and have a bit of stretch to them. This one fit the bill.
Side note: I’ve realized during my recent styling sessions that I don’t own a ton of color in my wardrobe, but I DO have a lot of great statement pieces. This blazer is probably my favorite of all the ones I own. It’s just BAM in your face, take it or leave it, YAAAAS!
I paired this blazer with liquid leggings in a slight jogger style. I love that with these pants I don’t have to worry about the length of my tops, because the bagginess brings back a little modesty. The zippers add even more edge, and the hat gives an extra flare.
Okay, the hat may be a bit much for some of you, but I love it. It kind of gives me a slight Carmen Sandiego vibe, no? I’m not ashamed! Carmen was bad-ass. I could totally be her sidekick wearing this.
Last but not least, add any color tank top and a simple black bootie. There you have it! If you want to stand out in a crowd, this is definitely one way to do it. Be bold, my loves. Be BOLD. Now get out there and create your own works of art!
