Fall is one of my favorite seasons and its right around the corner! That means deeper colors, hats, scarves, and finding interesting ways to mix patterns and fabrics. Side note: I'm also feeling a bit inspired by all of the Spring '16 fashion on the runway for next year. I've literally drooled over so many amazing ensembles that I can't wait to dive into more of what I've seen and loved in future posts.
Okay, back to Fall. I've put together a few pieces to inspired you to dig into your own closet and get creative this season. The next few weeks will probably be filled with showcases of my personal style, so get ready!
Big Hat Diva
Diva!! Tell me you love big hats as much as I do. One of my favorite things about fall fashion is the reintroduction of hats! Sometimes I like them small, this time I like them big. This dress is the perfect example of a fall dress. Thick fabric, quarter length sleeves, and a cute houndstooth (eye catching) print. I've paired mine with a black faux leather jacket and black booties. If it's a cool day, try sheer or opaque tights to cover your legs more.
Coral & Denim
Because it’s still very warm in California, I love the idea of mixing something very light and feminine with a piece that's a little heavier, very casual, and a bit rugged. In this look, I've paired a light coral day dress, with a heavier denim jacket. This takes the dress from something you would typically see strictly during Spring and Summer, and transitions it to something comfortable for a warm Fall day. You can keep it comfortable and wear tennis shoes or pair it with a cute kitten heel to dress it up a bit. For cooler weather, try putting a thin, long sleeve shirt underneath or wearing a long sleeve denim jacket instead.
